Warragamba Workers & Sporting Club provides its members and guests with a relaxed, family friendly place to meet with friends and enjoy our hospitality. Our Spillway Bistro is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and provides traditional Australian food plus Thai cuisine. We also hold regular raffles, poker and bingo each week. We have full TAB facilities as well as Keno and the only ATM in Warragamba.
Warragamba Workers & Sporting Club has been operating in the area for 48 1/2 years. It began as a ‘Wet Canteen’ for the workers during the construction of the Warragamba Dam. We became a registered club 1961 and began with 100 ‘Foundation Menbers’. Over the years, the original wet canteen was added to and extended to meet the needs of our members.
Tragically, on 11th April, 2001, we lost our original club to a fire which destroyed the entire first floor of the club along with a lot of memorabilia which could not be replaced. Our club was closed for eight months and our old building was demolished. We established temporary premises in December, 2001.
Whilst operating from our temporary premises, construction began on land that the club owned across the road from our original location. Our new building was complete in February, 2005 and has been going strong ever since. We currently have over 1900 members. We are open daily from 11.00am and are offering a special membership price of $8.00 for two years.
